Inishowen Maritime Museum - Greencastle

Outside the Maritime Museum in Greencastle is a monument to all those from the Inishowen Peninsula who have died at sea. The inscription reads:

"This monument is in memory of all those from the Inishowen Peninsula who have died at sea. The adjacent plaques record the names of those who are known to have lost their lives. It has not been possible to find out the name of every person who has died at sea and any omissions are unintentional. Further information can be obtained in the Maritime Museum opposite."

Please note - New names are currently being added to the monument, and will be posted on this web site when available. If you have information about any person from Inishowen who lost their life at sea, regardless of whether they were a sailor or civilian, and they are not included on the memorial, please contact the Maritime Museum. Please mention that you found the link on the Moville Records web site.
