Full Abstract : Letters of Administration (with the Will annexed), of the personal estate of James Hernon late of Shrove County Donegal Shopkeeper who died 27 January 1885 at same place, were granted at Londonderry to Margaret M'Laughlin of Shrove (Wife of Hugh M'Laughlin) the daughter and a Legatee.
WILL
I James Hernan being of sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament.
1. I bequeath to my wife Anne Hernan my present house and shop and business as also all my farm of land and premises
2. I also bequeath to her all my debts owing to me and I empower her to recover them
3. It is also my will and desire that the entire place be sold, and its value turned into money
4. And when sold I hereby will and desire that my daughter Mary Jane McColgan now living with me do get one fifth (1/5) part of the total of all my effects as above described
5. And moreover I bequeath to my daughter Mary McLaughlin one eighth of the residue of what is realised that is one fifth of all to Mary Jane and 1/8 of the rest to her - viz Margaret
